Any individual member of a campus-based coalitions shall be considered a member of the larger CPE.
3. SLAM! has a steering committee composed of voting delegates democratically elected to represent their member organizations under the advisement of their attending members in a caucus.
This steering committee is made up of:

- Two delegates from each private campus-based coalition.

- And delegates from any other organization, in particular, representative organizations of staff, adjuncts and faculty, as approved by the steering committee of a number to be determined by the steering committee. Each delegation shall be composed of at least 50% women and 50% people of color.

5. The steering committee is empowered to create committees to carry out various functions on behalf of the Coalition.
Hi There,
You were reccomended to me by my radical activist filmmaker friend Courtney.
I am hoping to connect with a group of SLAM members (anywhere from 5-15) who might be interested in having a phone conference with students living in Iraq about what constitutes meaningful political and social change as it applies to Education.
I am working with a student organizer in Iraq who has organized 15 English speaking Iraqi students who are interested in connecting and I would like to talk with someone interested in helping me organize the American students.
We are aiming to have the conversation in the end of April or early in May, and a few logistics have to be worked out. Please contact me asap. I would love to work with you to make this possible.
Yours,
In Action,

Hi Lauren,
Thanks so much for this message! I forwarded it to everyone I know from SLAM and some current student activists who identify with SLAM (we are not around as a group anymore). Would you like me to remove your comment, because it has your phone number in it?
Thanks again so much for reaching out.
